teams are managed and coached by the Women’s Soccer Coaches at the University of Rhode Island.  We place a heavy emphasis on professional player development and the goal of the programs is to develop the soccer talent in Rhode Island in a fun, competitive environment.

Lambs Academy

A series of player development programs that run throughout the year for girls ages 8-13.  There is a Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall Academy.  Click here for more information about the Lambs Academy and to register.

Jamestown-Fortuna RI Club Teams

There are two Jamestown-Fortuna RI club teams for the 2009-10 season, U16 and U18.  The club teams were founded in 2006 with the help of dedicated players and parents, primarily from the
South County area, with the support of Jamestown Youth Soccer.

All teams will be coached and trained by one of the three University of Rhode Island Women’s Soccer Coaches.

In 2008, U14 Fortuna (currently the U16 team) were the Rhode Island State Cup Champions in their first year of existence, and repeated in 2009 as State Champions.  In 2008 U17 Fortuna were State Cup Semi-Finalists and in 2009 U18 Fortuna won the MSSL/Ft Dix Tournament.

U16 and U18 Jamestown-Fortuna RI are competitive teams that are part of Jamestown Youth Soccer and participate in leagues recognized by Soccer RI; therefore, the two teams are qualified to compete in State Cup.

Who are we?
